MANUFACTURING
DAY
Held at Toyota, our C4 Manufacturing Days offer engineering and robotics students an immersive look into the industrial world through interactive stations, plant tours, and professional panels. This collaborative event connects students with industry leaders—including Cummins, Enkei, Service My Restaurant, Ninth Ave Foods, and Lindal—to showcase high-tech career paths in automation and advanced manufacturing.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL
This is a global event sponsored by the United Nations to encourage females to pursue STEM related careers. Locally, Cummins Midrange Engine plant hosts the event and they provide a tour, leadership panel and discussion and interactive activities. Any C4 female student can attend. This happens every October.
GIRL UP
Girl Up is a high-energy leadership initiative founded by the United Nations Foundation to position girls as leaders in the movement for gender equality.
Typically held as a Leadership Summit or regional chapter event, it serves as a training ground for young activists to sharpen their skills in advocacy, fundraising, and community organizing. Participants engage in workshops, hear from global icons (like Michelle Obama or Meghan Markle), and learn how to lobby for policies that improve girls' access to education, health, and safety worldwide.
JOB FAIR
The C4 Job Fair serves as a premier career-launching event that connects Juniors and Seniors from Columbus East and Columbus North High Schools with over 40 local industry leaders. Students have the opportunity to secure full-time, part-time, and seasonal employment by interviewing with representatives from sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, construction, and public service. This dynamic event empowers students to transition from the classroom to the workforce, with many participants finding immediate employment through direct networking and resume sharing.
MONEY MOVES
This event is sponsored by the Bartholomew Co. Financial Literacy Coalition. PCC students select a career and are given information about their income, debt, family structure (if they have children or a spouse) and then have to try to live within their budget. Community volunteers help students budget for transportation, housing, food, childcare, clothing, entertainment and other costs.
OPEN HOUSE
Are you curious to learn more about what C4 classes have to offer? The Open House nights are a perfect opportunity for families and community members to meet the teachers and staff, visit the classrooms, and see the lab areas firsthand. Watch C4 social media for the hours of each event.
CAREER WEEK
Career Week is an expansive, week-long initiative designed to connect students with a diverse array of professionals to explore future pathways across every major industry. Through a series of interactive guest speaker sessions, career fairs, and networking workshops, students gain invaluable insights into the daily realities of various vocations and the educational steps needed to reach them. By facilitating direct dialogue between the classroom and the professional world, Career Week empowers students to make informed decisions about their futures and build the confidence to pursue their professional goals.
FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS PARADE
For the kids at C4, the Festival of Lights parade isn't just a holiday event—it’s the ultimate "final exam" where imagination meets heavy-duty engineering. Each year, our students transform a flatbed trailer into a glowing masterpiece through a coordinated effort across our different programs.
SENIOR INTERVIEWS
Our C4 Senior Mock Interviews at East and North High Schools bridge the gap between the classroom and the career world by pairing students with local business leaders for realistic professional evaluations.
This high-stakes event allows seniors to sharpen their communication skills, refine their resumes, and build confidence through direct feedback from industry experts. It’s a vital opportunity for our students to experience the "real" job hunt while giving community partners a first look at the emerging talent in our C4 programs.
COURSE FAIRS
C4 Course Fair Days invite students from surrounding counties to explore the wide range of hands-on programs and career pathways available through our curriculum. It’s an interactive opportunity for visiting students to see our facilities firsthand, meet instructors, and discover which C4 courses align with their future goals.
INDUSTRY TOURS
Our Freshmen Preparing for College & Careers (PCC) students have been hitting the road to see exactly what makes our local economy tick. From high-tech manufacturing to essential public safety, these behind-the-scenes tours are helping our students bridge the gap between the classroom and their future careers!
C4 AWARDS NIGHT
Our academic year culminates in an annual Awards Gala, a signature event dedicated to celebrating student excellence. During this ceremony, we honor an Outstanding Student from each Pathway and distribute a variety of significant scholarships to support our graduates' continued success.
