CENTRAL MIDWEST CARPENTER'S TRAINING
Our Construction students will get to visit Central Midwest Carpenter's Training Center for a full tour.
MANUFACTURING
DAY
Held at Toyota, engineering and automation/robotics students participate in interactive stations, take plant tours and hear from panels. Other participating companies include Cummins, Enkei, Service My Restaurant, Ninth Ave Foods, and Lindal.
INTERNATIONAL DAY OF THE GIRL
This is a global event sponsored by the United Nations to encourage females to pursue STEM related careers. Locally, Cummins Midrange Engine plant hosts the event and they provide a tour, leadership panel and discussion and interactive activities. Any C4 female student can attend. This happens every October.
FFA
ORGANIZATION
There are several events that the FFA members get to participate in. FFA conference/competition, as well as Soil Evaluation District Contest.
MAD CITY
MONEY
This event is sponsored by the Bartholomew Co. Financial Literacy Coalition. PCC students select a career and are given information about their income, debt, family structure (if they have children or a spouse) and then have to try to live within their budget. Community volunteers help students budget for transportation, housing, food, childcare, clothing, entertainment and other costs.

Are you curious to learn more about what C4 classes have to offer? The Open House nights are a perfect opportunity for families and community members to meet the teachers and staff, visit the classrooms, and see the lab areas firsthand. For the 2025-2026 school year, there are two events scheduled: Wed, Jan 14, 2026 at Columbus North High School, and Wed, Jan 21, 2026 at Columbus East High School. Watch C4 social media for the hours of each event.
CAREER WEEK
Feb 9 - 13, 2026
It's a time for area businesses to come on-site at the high schools and meet with students who are currently enrolled in pathways that align with their area. Various areas of study each have their own day, such as healthcare, manufacturing, transportation, etc. (Not all the pathways are given a day.)
