What is it?
Welding is the heating, melting, and cooling of a metal surface to create a permanent joint or fixture. Welding is used in all kinds of industries, manufacturing, repair, auto, just to name a few. Buildings are welded, bridges, farm equipment, toasters, nearly everything that is made of metal has welding involved in its process somewhere. Over 50% of the gross national product has some relation to welding. Welding is a vital skill for manufacturing, construction, and transportation, enabling the creation of strong long-lasting structures. The demand for skilled welders is high, with a predicted worker shortage, making it a stable and well-paying career.
